Calendars for sale. NW4SD has created a 2010 calendar with nostalgic and current photos of North Whitehall Township. View sampling of photos used — photo of Schneck House · photo of Field of Sunflowers. Reminisce with the pictures of the past and appreciate the beauty of our township in the pictures of the present. Included on the calendar are the phases of the moon, beginning of the seasons, and important holiday reminders.

NW Township’s Calendar of Upcoming Township Meetings

Dear Concerned Citizen,
This letter is to thank you for your support of NW4SD. Without you, we would not have been able to carry on our fight the last two years. Wal-Mart is not a “done deal”! There are still many issues to be addressed such as: traffic congestion, sewer and water concerns, police protection, noise, etc. Wal-Mart has a long way to go on all of these issues before this is all resolved, if ever. As long as you continue to help us, NW4SD will continue to spare no effort in stopping this big box store from entering our township.
In August, we were at a crossroads. After careful discussion with our attorneys about an appeal to the state level, we felt strongly about moving forward, and proceeded with the appeal. On Aug. 22 and Sept. 5, NW4SD held fundraising bake sales and raised $1,010.00 to apply towards the cost of the legal fees involved with this appeal. In October, we plan to sell calendars with photos of our beautiful township now and in the past. Now we must ask, can you help us again? Your donation will be greatly appreciated, and you will be promoting responsible development and government in North Whitehall Township. All contributions go directly toward our fees involved with the legal appeal. All costs associated with advertising, flyers, and letters are donated by members of NW4SD.
On Tuesday, October 27, at 7:30 the Planning Commission will be addressing questions on the proposed Wal-Mart. Also being debated will be the positive and negative affects the proposed Walmart will have on our township. In addition, the Planning Commission will discussing the township’s 537 Plan concerning sewer. Although there are several aging treatment facilities in our township, this plan puts refurbishing and re-opening the old Kid’s Peace facility before the others. Who and why was this decision made? Is your home in this area? How will your property be affected? Who is paying for this? Please attend to voice your concerns and listen to the facts NW4SD has acquired.
