Attempted Luring of Child Investigations Suspect

The Lehigh Valley Crime Stoppers Is Offering Up to 2,000 for information relating to the following crimes. The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop M – Bethlehem is currently investigating two incidents in which juvenile females were approached by an unknown white male operating an unknown red vehicle. It is unknown if these incidents are related; however, similarities exist in limited description of vehicle and suspect. Anyone observing suspicious activity, especially involving a red vehicle is asked to contact PSP Bethlehem immediately at (610)861-2026.

Occurred: 01/18/2010 at approximately 1630-1645 hours
Location: McIntosh Dr. North Whitehall Twp. Lehigh County
Suspect Description: W/M 18-24 YOA, light brown hair, smoking cigarette
Suspect Vehicle Description: UNK make or model, possibly mid size, 4 door vehicle, red or maroon in color, described as “dirty”
Suspect reportedly passed the group of juveniles at least once before returning and coming to a stop in the area of the juvenile females. Suspect addressed one juvenile and advised her to get in the car. The juvenile yelled and the Suspect proceeded to the end of the road where he remained for a short period of time before leaving the area in an unknown direction on Route 309.

Location: Sandspring Rd. North Whitehall Twp. Lehigh County
Suspect Description: W/M 20’s, short light hair, w/older features or wrinkles
Suspect Vehicle Description: UNK make or model, possibly mid size vehicle, red in color, described as “dirty” with white bumper sticker
Juvenile female reported seeing Suspect vehicle stopped in the roadway of Sandspring Apts. as she was walking to her residence from the bus stop. Suspect exited the vehicle and ran towards the juvenile. Juvenile reported seeing vehicle leaving the area, in an unknown direction, as she reached her apartment building.
